Stac Gorm and Loch Ruthven
At 430m above sea level Stac Gorm rises above Loch Ruthven and offers beautiful views.
Highland Wildlife Park
Highland Wildlife Park is a 105-hectare safari park and zoo near Kingussie. A great day out and less than an hour from the cabin.
Highland Folk Museum
Open air museum giving visitors a flavour of how Highland people lived and worked from the 1700s up until the 1960s. Highly recommended
Ski or ride on the slopes
Jump in your car and be at the CairnGorm Mountain Area in less than an hour.
Milton Woods
Community owned woodland right across the road from the cabin. The Milton loop will take you an hour and according to one of our past guests could make even the most skeptical ponder the existence of fairies!
Loch Farr
Leave your car and walk back along the B851 to the road signposted Garbole. A twenty minute stroll will take you to the beautiful Loch Farr.
Loch Duntelchaig
Take the short drive to Loch Duntelchaig and enjoy a lovely walk along the south shore.

For something urban try the Castle Tavern

Contemporary timber framed tearoom in village of Foyers, 30 mins by car driving south on the B851. Excellent place for breakfast, lunch or just a snack set in beautiful surroundings.
The Dores Inn
Great food and amazing location right on the shores of Loch Ness and only twenty minutes drive from the cabin. Can be busy so book to avoid disappointment.
Whitebridge Hotel
Tasty home made food and friendly staff this traditional Inn is only twenty minutes down the B851.
